Ask AI
Using AI to dive deeper into content lets you explore additional insights, perspectives, and explanations beyond what's initially presented. It's a powerful way to clarify complex concepts, get quick summaries, and discover related information.
Mindstone's Ask AI feature helps you take this deep dive directly within any piece of content.
Ask AI is available via the Viewer.
Starting Ask AI in the Viewer
Highlight any section of text in a piece of content while in the Viewer. You'll see a menu appear — select "Ask AI" from the options.
What Can You Ask?
You can either select a quick action or type your own question:
Quick actions:
- Summarize — Generate a concise synopsis of the selected text for quick comprehension.
- Simplify Meaning — Get a clear, plain-language explanation of complex concepts or unfamiliar terms.
- Translate — Translate the selected text into another language. (If your language isn't listed, type your request in the Ask AI chat box instead.)
Or type a question in the Ask AI chat box for anything else you'd like to explore.
Save, Post, or Discard
If the Ask AI response is helpful, you can:
- Save as a Note — Stores the response alongside your highlight for future reference.
- Post as a Comment — Publishes it as a comment on the resource, visible to others in your space.
Not satisfied? Click Try Again for a fresh response, or edit your prompt to refine what you get. To discard the response, click X.
