What Are Evidence Points?

Evidence Points (EP) are Mindstone’s way of recognizing active learning in the AI Academy. You earn them as you engage with program content, answer questions, and practice using AI. EP are designed to reward quality of engagement, not just activity for activity’s sake.

How Do I Earn Evidence Points?

You can earn Evidence Points in a few different ways across the AI Academy:

  • Answering questions and trivia in Academy modules

  • Practicing in the Prompt Sandbox

  • Using the Mindstone AI Coach Extension while working in tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot

In general, better-quality responses and better-quality prompts earn more EP than weaker attempts.

Evidence Points in the AI Coach Extension

If you use the AI Coach Extension, prompts are scored automatically and converted into Evidence Points.

  • A prompt scored 8/10 earns 8 EP

  • Points sync automatically to your Academy profile

  • These points also contribute to your Prompt Level

You do not need to submit anything manually.

What Do Evidence Points Measure?

Evidence Points are a simple way to reflect how actively and thoughtfully you are engaging with the Academy.

They are intended to capture applied learning, including:

  • Participation in learning activities

  • Prompt practice

  • Quality of effort

  • Ongoing skill development over time

Where Can I See My Evidence Points?

You can see Evidence Points on your Program Dashboard, in The Leaderboard section.

The leaderboard compares learners in the same program across four dimensions:

  • Evidence Points (EP)

  • Prompt Level

  • Time Spent

  • Progress

Do Evidence Points Affect My Certificate?

Evidence Points help show your engagement and progress in the Academy, but certificates are awarded by passing an Assessment.

That means EP can help you stay active and build skill, but they are not the same thing as certification.

Are Evidence Points based on quantity or quality?

Both matter, but the system is designed to reward quality, not just volume. Higher-quality prompts and stronger answers earn more EP.

Do I need to submit my work manually to earn EP?

No. In places like the AI Coach Extension, points are awarded automatically and sync to your profile.

Can other people see my Evidence Points?

Your EP appear as part of the leaderboard for learners in the same program. Admins and coaches can also use leaderboard data to monitor cohort engagement.

Are Evidence Points the same as Prompt Level?

No. Evidence Points track your engagement and learning activity across the Academy. Prompt Level reflects the quality of your prompts in the Prompt Sandbox and AI Coach Extension.
