TL;DR
We briefly analyze your prompt (and recent conversation context) to generate feedback, but we don’t store that content in our databases. We log basic usage events (e.g., button clicks) without any prompt text.
Our aim is to help you learn and apply AI effectively, and Mindstone is committed to respecting your data privacy as you do so.
What it does
On ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, the extension adds a small button beside the input box. After you type, click it to get coaching plus an improved suggested prompt — right on the page.
What we analyze (and why)
The text you type and the recent thread/conversation on the page, so we can give context-aware feedback.
This snapshot is sent securely to the Mindstone API, processed on our backend, and routed to an AI model provider to generate feedback. This AI model provider does not train on your data.
The content is handled temporarily for processing and is not written to our databases.
What we don’t do
We do not store your prompts or conversation content in Mindstone databases.
We do not use your prompt or thread content for analytics, marketing, or model training.
We do not track you across other sites or read unrelated tabs/pages.
Using the extension doesn’t change how ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/CoPilot handle your data when you submit it to them.
What we may collect
Basic, non-content telemetry such as: button clicks, errors, extension version, and general browser/runtime info.
No prompt or thread content is included in these events. We use this data to keep the feature reliable and improve UX.
Permissions & security
The extension requires permission to read the input area and recent thread only on supported AI assistant pages, so it can assemble the context snapshot and render feedback.
All transfers are encrypted in transit.
